Liikenne Niemelä is now Lapland Tours

Following the acquisition completed in November 2024, Liikenne O. Niemelä has been renamed and will operate going forward as Lapland Tours.

Lapland Tours is now part of the Lapland Hotels & Safaris group. We ensure that groups move reliably and on schedule across Lapland and the north – but above all, we bring together transport, accommodation, programme services, restaurants and guide services into one seamless solution.

For our customers, this means one partner, simplicity, and the confidence that the entire journey runs smoothly.

Our hotel network extends beyond Lapland to Oulu, Tampere, Kuopio and Helsinki, enabling us to build seamless travel experiences across Finland – with one agreement and a single point of contact.

Our extensive experience also allows us to offer transport and touring solutions across Northern Scandinavia.

Our strengths lie in strong local expertise, reliable and safe operations, and long-standing experience in group, charter and experiential transport since 1951. We understand the demands of tight schedules, Arctic conditions and international groups.

A local partner with extensive service offering

We operate as a local partner particularly in Rovaniemi, Kittilä and Ivalo, while also serving our clients across airports and ports throughout northern Sweden, Norway and Finland – and beyond when needed.

We serve domestic companies and organisations in areas such as corporate events, staff days, association trips, and transport for sports clubs and event organisers. We also provide charter services for public sector clients and are an official Hansel framework supplier.

For international tour operators, we offer transport services across Northern Finland, Sweden and Norway – including destinations such as the North Cape, Tromsø, the Lofoten Islands and Kiruna. We deliver touring programmes and multi-day group travel where transport is an integral part of the overall package.

In addition, we operate scheduled routes for our customers, including Rovaniemi–Ivalo year-round and Levi–Lapland Hotels SnowVillage–Ylläs during the winter season.
